Welcome to SlagBot, a privacy-first AI assistant for iOS. By downloading or using SlagBot (the "Service"), you agree to the following Terms. Please read them carefully.
If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the Service.
1. Overview
SlagBot provides AI-powered responses using large language models accessed via OpenAI's API. The Service does not require an account and does not store your conversation history. Responses are generated in real-time and are not retained by SlagBot after your session ends.
The Service is provided "as-is" without guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or reliability. AI-generated content may contain errors. Use your own judgment.
2. Privacy and Data Use
- Conversations are not used to train AI models.
- Your messages are transmitted to OpenAI's API to generate responses. They are not stored by SlagBot and are not linked to your identity.
- SlagBot does not collect your name, email address, or any account information. No account is required.
- SlagBot does not store long-term chat history. Your session is ephemeral and cleared when you exit or clear the app.

3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use SlagBot legally and responsibly. You may not use the Service to:
- Violate any local, state, federal, or international law
- Generate or assist in illegal activity, including hacking, fraud, identity theft, drug manufacturing, or violence
- Create or distribute harmful, abusive, or malicious content
- Engage in harassment, hate speech, discrimination, defamation, exploitation, or stalking
- Generate misinformation intended to deceive, manipulate, or harm others
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure
- Use SlagBot in a way that could damage the platform, its infrastructure, or third parties
You, the user, are fully responsible for how you use the Service.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
SlagBot offers a free tier and a paid subscription (SlagBot Pro) available via monthly, weekly, or annual plans. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's Terms of Service.
- SlagBot does not process or store your payment information.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the billing period.
- Refund requests must be submitted to Apple. SlagBot does not issue refunds directly.
- Subscription management (cancellation, upgrades) is handled through your Apple ID settings.
5. No Professional Advice
SlagBot may generate responses related to health, law, finance, or other sensitive domains, but these outputs do not constitute professional advice. Always consult a licensed professional before making decisions in these areas.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as-is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. SlagBot does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SlagBot and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months prior to the event giving rise to the claim.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SlagBot and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, misuse, abuse, or behavior deemed harmful to users, systems, or the platform. Termination does not entitle you to a refund; refund eligibility is governed by Apple's policies.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Virginia.
11. Changes to Terms
These Terms may be updated periodically. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects when they were last revised. Continued use of SlagBot after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
