SlagBot is designed to minimize data collection and maximize your privacy. No account is required to use the app.

1. Information We Collect

User Input: When you interact with SlagBot, the text and images you submit are processed in real-time to generate responses. This input is not stored by SlagBot on any server.

Minimal Usage Data: We may collect anonymized, non-identifiable usage data to support app performance and stability, such as:

  • App version and device type
  • Crash reports and performance metrics

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifying information. No account is required.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Response Generation: Your input is transmitted to OpenAI's API solely to generate a response. It is not stored by SlagBot, not linked to your identity, and not used to train AI models.
  • Service Improvement: Anonymized, non-identifiable usage data helps us monitor app stability and fix bugs.

3. What We Don't Do

SlagBot is built on a foundation of privacy. Here's what we explicitly do NOT do:

  • We do not store your conversation history on our servers.
  • We do not use your conversations to train AI models.
  • We do not collect your name, email, or any account information.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
  • We do not track you across apps or websites.
  • We do not build advertising profiles or serve you targeted ads.
  • We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking.

4. Third-Party AI Processing — OpenAI

SlagBot uses OpenAI's API to generate responses to your messages. When you send a message, its content is transmitted to OpenAI's servers for processing.

The following protections apply to this transmission:

  • Messages are not linked to your name, email address, or any persistent user identifier.
  • OpenAI does not use API inputs or outputs to train its models (per OpenAI's API usage policy).
  • SlagBot does not store your messages after a response is returned.
  • Your IP address is not exposed to OpenAI — requests are routed through SlagBot's servers.

OpenAI may retain API request data for a limited period for abuse prevention and safety monitoring under their own privacy policy. We encourage you to review OpenAI's Privacy Policy for details.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

SlagBot Pro subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. SlagBot does not collect or store your payment information, credit card details, or billing address. All subscription management, billing, and refunds are handled by Apple under their Privacy Policy.

6. Data Retention

Conversations: SlagBot does not retain your conversations on any server. Messages exist only within your device during an active session and are permanently deleted when you clear your session or close the app.

Usage Data: Any anonymized usage data collected is non-identifiable and retained only as long as needed to support app stability.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect data in transit and at rest, including:

  • Encryption of all data in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Secure server infrastructure for API routing
  • No persistent storage of user messages

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but will notify users of significant data breaches as required by applicable law.

8. Your Rights

Because SlagBot does not collect personally identifiable information or store conversation history, most traditional data access and deletion requests do not apply. However, depending on your location, you may have rights regarding any anonymized data we hold.

9. Children's Privacy

SlagBot is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

SlagBot is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. or other countries where our infrastructure or OpenAI's servers are located. By using SlagBot, you consent to this transfer.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of SlagBot after changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
